Work Experience:
IngoUI
Owner – Creative Direction, User Interface Design – Web Design
Feb-2013 – Present
Ingo UI has allowed me to concentrate primarily on User Experience and Interaction Design in order to create high impact mobile interfaces. My designs are generated from a deep understanding of user behaviors in order to produce innovative, aesthetically appealing UI to drive user engagement. I have been the Principle Design Lead on projects such as; e-commers websites, a diagnostic phone app, an app for children, and a time-clock app.
RealAge/Sharecare
Creative Director – User Interface Designer
July 2011 – Feb-2013
RealAge.com is a leading health and wellness site centered on the groundbreaking RealAge Test, a highly scientific but simple-to-take test that calculates how old your body thinks you are.
I managed the Art Department at RealAge, which consisted of three designers. I updated the RealAge brand to reflect their need of appealing to a younger audience. I supported that initiative by redesigning the website and the email programs that drove significant increases in performance. I also redesigned the RealAge test to improve the completion rate.
Hewlett-Packard
Senior User Interface Designer
September 2010 – July 2011
I designed the website for the HP Travel Guide, which is a website that you can create and customize your own personal travel book. By filling in your itinerary, the travel book gives recommendations to sites, restaurants, hotels, hikes or whatever your interests may be. Once you have created your book, you are then able to print it out to have it in hand on your travels.
I also worked with the Wall Art Team and helped them to simplify their user interface. HP Walls lets you design custom wallpaper/wall decorations to bring an entire room to life. This project gave me the opportunity to work with large format printing. I designed a customized wall for DreamWorks Animation and installed onsite at the Glendale Studios.
Kidzui
Creative Director
July 2007 – October 2009
I worked on creating the “Internet for Kids”. KidZui is a free Web browser, search engine and online playground for children ages 3-12. I managed five designers, three of which were in-house and two where freelance artists.
I worked with project leaders and developers to design the user interface for the client. We worked closely with children and received constant feedback from them during the development stage. I created the corporate brand and managed that throughout. I designed several different websites; kidzui.com, zuigames.com, zuitube.com and comcast.net/kidzui. I worked closely with our partners (Comcast, Mattel, DreamWorks and Scholastic) on marketing, banner ads and website designs.
Lindows/Linspire
Art Director
December 2001 – July 2007
Lindows/Linspire is a Linux operating system. I managed the Art Department, which consisted of three designers. I designed a corporate identity package, which included logo design, business cards, and letterhead. I also designed and produced the packaging and other marketing materials such as flyers, posters, booths and websites. I worked on the user-interface for Linspire OS, of which I designed a simplified installation process for the OS. I managed and helped in the design of the Crystal Linspire icon theme as well as the Linspire Kids icon theme. I also created the CNR brand designed the CNR website and worked with engineering on the CNR downloadable application. CNR.com is a free one-click software delivery system and managing Linux software for the most popular desktop Linux distributions, both Debian and RPM based.
Exobox/Entrypoint

I managed the Art Department by assigning priorities, personnel and schedules to all projects. I hired additional designers to create an entirely new Art Department. I designed the UI for both the Entrypoint toolbar application and the eWallet applications.
Among other duties, I managed their on-line banner campaign and created an outdoor campaign that consisted of billboards, bus sides and bus shelters. By working closely with Marketing, Business Development and Engineering Departments I was able to design an internet home appliance software package that consisted of; a global system behavior, a flow chart and rough draft of UI and system behavior. I created several UI designs for theming and skinning capabilities as well as developing a help system. I also created a new look for the company which included a corporate logo, business cards, stationary, various marketing pieces, package and web design.
